What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where programmers, designers, and business people come to learn and explore programming with workshops and collaborative projects. In our case, a hackathon is an event where diverse teams will compete against each other for prizes with their innovative projects on disrupting the workplace.
How much does it cost to attend the Soda City Hackathon
Admission to the Hackathon is completely free. We’ll also be providing food for the entire event and providing tips for lodging and transportation! Unfortunately we cannot reimburse travel costs for this event.
I don't know how to code! Can I still attend?
Yes! Anyone who has an interest in hacking can attend! We will be providing workshops catered to different experience levels. We welcome programmers, designers, entrepreneurs, and business people, as long as you have a passion for disrupting the workplace! Beginner workshops will give you a jumpstart into programming, while workshops for experienced developers will help you polish and ship your project.
What is the theme of the hackathon?

What will I eat?
We will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday plus breakfast, lunch and a cocktail hour on Sunday. There will also be snacks and coffee.
Where will I sleep?
Hacking all night can be fun, and the venue will be open all night for you to burn the midnight oil. If you need some rest, we have provided some hotels close to the venue.
What should I bring?
(1) Your laptop (2) Chargers for all of your devices (3) A water bottle (4) A government issued ID - if you'd like to hack on hardware (see below for more info)

How do teams work?
Teams are at most 4 people and can be formed before or at the event.
What if I don't have a team?
Don't worry! We'll have a team formation workshop at the beginning of the event.
